An Inconel 625 superalloy, or high-performance alloy, bar is an amalgam that shows a couple of key characteristics: brilliant mechanical strength, assurance from thermal creep deformation, incredible surface solidness, and insurance from corrosion or oxidation.
Properties
Inconel 625 bar are responsible for its outstanding corrosion resistance in a variety of severe operating environments along with resistance to oxidation and carburization in high temperature service. The alloy is resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, impingement corrosion, intergranular attack and is almost immune to chloride stress corrosion cracking.

The alloy is resistant to a variety of corrosive media from highly oxidizing to moderately reducing. Alloy 625 is highly resistant to hot geothermal fluids comparable to titanium grade 2. The high alloy content of Inconel 625 round bar enables it to withstand a wide variety of severe corrosive environments.

The high molybdenum content also makes this alloy very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, and niobium acts to stabilize the alloy against sensitization during welding, thereby preventing subsequent intergranular cracking.
Specification
The Specification for Alloy 625 bar as per astm Standard is ASTM B 446/ASME SB-446, they are categorised into different form and shape such as Inconel 625 Round Bar, Rod, Channel Bar, T-Bar, Flat Bar, Blocks, Square, bar, Triangle, Threaded, Hex (A/F), Profiles, Half Ingot, Billet, I/H Bar, etc.
When considering wrought stainless round bars, material shall be furnished in the following way such as Hot-worked, Hot-worked and Annealed, Hot-worked- Annealed and cold worked or Hot-worked-Annealed and heat treated.
Round bars depending upon their treatment and their use and application they can also be available in different surface finishes such as Black, Bright Polished, Rough Turned, NO.4 Finish, Matt Finish, BA Finish, 2B, 2D, etc.
Application
Inconel 625 bar are used in heavy duty applications such as those found in aerospace, military and transportation product manufacturing, forming the skin of jets and spacecraft fuel tanks, etc.
Inconel Alloy 625 Bar are used in wide applications like Aerospace field, used in such applications as aircraft ducting systems, engine exhaust systems, resistance-welded honeycomb structures for housing engine controls, fuel and hydraulic line tubing, and heat-exchanger tubing in environmental control systems,bellows, submerged marine components.
