Inconel 625 fittings and flanges have better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. They have a good resistance to chloride containing environment, high corrosion-fatigue strength, high tensile strength, and resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking makes it widely used in seawater heat exchangers in refineries, power plants, and offshore topside services that often need this material.
