Inconel 601 Sheets and Plates
Inconel Alloy 601 nickel-chromium-iron alloy is an engineering material for applications that require resistance to heat and corrosion. The major characteristic of Inconel 601 sheet and Inconel 601 plate is its resistance to high-temperature oxidation. The alloy also has good resistance to aqueous corrosion, has high mechanical strength, and is readily formed, machined, and welded.

Properties
Inconel 601 Alloy has superior creep rupture strength and it is extensively utilized in the environment that operates under high temperatures for extended periods. The main significance of these alloys is as it offers excellent resistance to oxidation and other kinds of corrosion conditions at elevated temperatures.

The substantial nickel and chromium contents of INCONEL alloy 601 in conjunction with its content of aluminum give the alloy superior resistance to high temperature corrosion mechanisms. By virtue of its contents of chromium and aluminum, alloy 601 offers unique resistance to oxide spalling under cyclic thermal conditions.

Inconel 601 sheet and plate is not embrittled by extended exposure to high temperatures During high-temperature exposure, alloy 601 forms an extremely protective and adherent oxide film on the surface of the material. In addition, a slight amount of internal oxidation occurs and provides higher chromium content in the surface oxide.
