Inconel 600 Flange and Fittings
Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy designed for use from cryogenic to elevated temperatures in the range of 2000◦ F(1093◦C). The high nickel content of the alloy enables it to retain considerable resistance under reducing conditions and makes it resistant to corrosion by a number of organic and inorganic compounds.

In Inconel 600 flanges and Fittings or UNS N06600 alloy, nickel content gives it excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking and also provides excellent resistance to alkaline solutions, while the chromium content of the material provides resistance to weaker oxidizing environments.

The chromium content of Alloy 600 is an improvement over Alloy 200 (commercially pure nickel). In strong oxidizing solutions, like hot, concentrated nitric acid, Alloy 600 has poor resistance to corrosion. Inconel 600 Fittings and Flanges are relatively unattacked by the majority of neutral and alkaline salt solutions. It is also used in some caustic environments. Inconel 600 Flange resists steam and mixtures of steam, air, and carbon dioxide.

Inconel 600 Fittings are categorically available are Elbow, Reducer, Tee, Coupling, Bend, Stub End, Cap, Nipple, Washer, Cross, Union etc. which are available in different types such as Welded, Seamless and Fabricated having thickness range from 5s, 10s, 40s, 80s, 10, 20, 40, STD, 60, 80, XS, 100, 120, 140, 160, XXS available with NACE MR 01-75.
The alloy’s strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures make it useful for many applications in the heat-treating industry.
1: In Pressure Vessel and Reactors
2: Chemical processing, food processing and aerospace industries.
3: In nuclear equipment, steam generators, super heaters and electronic parts.
4: It is common in Gas turbine blades, seals, and combustors, Turbocharger rotors and seals. 5: Inconel is increasingly used in the boilers of waste incinerators.
6: Inconel alloy is also used in the automobile industry.
