Hastelloy C 276 flat is a Nickel – Chromium – Molybdenum alloy with better overall resistance and versatility than any other Ni – Cr – Mo available. Hastelloy or UNS N10276 flat are known for their good weldability.

Hastelloy C 276 flat is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium super alloy with an addition of tungsten designed to have excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments. Alloy C276 has excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments.
Properties
Alloy C-276 hastelloy is resistant to stress corrosion cracking, general corrosion, crevice corrosion and pitting in a wide range of severe environments. The hastelloy C 276 composition allows it to have exceptional resistance to sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Hastelloy C276 flat & Hastelloy C 276 flat has excellent resistance to strong oxidizers like ferric and cupric chlorides.

Hastelloy C276 properties include excellent resistance to phosphoric acid-containing solutions. C276 Hastelloy flat exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion by seawater especially under crevice conditions which induce attack in other commonly used materials such as 316 stainless steel, MONEL alloy 400, and INCONEL alloy 625.

Alloy C-276 flat materials are used for recovery and handling of sour natural gas, which contains hydrogen sulfide and usually carbon dioxide and chlorides. These gases can be extremely corrosive to carbon and alloy steels, and may cause brittle failure of many alloys by sulfide stress cracking or stress-corrosion cracking.
