Alloy 825 sheets are used in chemical process vessels, catalytic converters , nuclear fuel reprocessing, radioactive waste handling , marine exhaust. It is similar to SS 800 but has improved resistance to aqueous corrosion. It also has good resistance in neutral chloride media, stress-corrosion cracking and satisfactory resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
