Properties
Inconel 625 plate and Inconel 625 sheet are responsible for its outstanding corrosion resistance in a variety of severe operating environments along with resistance to oxidation and carburization in high temperature service. The Inconel 625 sheet thickness makes it resistant to a variety of corrosive media from highly oxidizing to moderately reducing. Alloy 625 is highly resistant to hot geothermal fluids comparable to titanium grade 2. The high alloy content of INCONEL alloy 625 enables it to withstand a wide variety of severe corrosive environments.

The high molybdenum content also makes this alloy very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, and niobium acts to stabilize the alloy against sensitization during welding, thereby preventing subsequent intergranular cracking.

Application
